With the Women’s Project Semba supports women in Angola with job-skills training and small business assistance so they can rebuild their lives.
In 2007, Angola ratified the Protocol to the African Charter on Human and People’s Rights on the Rights of Women in Africa, more commonly known as the “Maputo Protocol.” This human rights mechanism guarantees a wide range of rights for women and calls for an end to gender-based violence and discrimination against women.
In collaboration with Plataforma Mulheres em Acção we promote workshops in Luanda where is offered support, tools, and access to life-changing skills to move to stability and economic self-sufficiency for Angolan women.
The enthusiasm and hope for the future of the Angolan women is encouraging.
